The new AG-DVX100B sports many improvements over it's predecessor the AG-DVX100A.Ships November 10th 2005
- Recessed Picture/Scene mode wheel, so you can't bump it.
- Increased travel on the LCD screen... bends forward.
- Camera base that holds the tripod mounting holes is now exposed, can be replaced if you strip the threads.
- New tape drive carriage to conform to Environmental regulations.
- Stronger door latches.
- Body colour change. "Black Safari"
- DSP has been revised... less noise in the blacks.
- Ability to turn off ALL the displays in the viewfinder by holding down the "Display" button for a few seconds.
- Ability to "End Search" in CAMERA mode.. without going to VCR mode.
- LCD display switchable aspect ratio. Normal 4:3 switched in menu to 16:9.
- Switchable headphone between direct live sound or in-sync with the LCD image
- Improved menu graphics. Same menu system as 100A
- Added mini-plug connector for remote Focus and Iris
- Firewire connections: Use firewire to transfer camera settings from one DVX100B to another DVX100B.
- Camera can Read, and Jam sync timecode from an incoming time code signal from ANY camera over Firewire when recording.(includes DVX100 &100A) Use DVX100B as slave camera with Firewire for Dual camera shoots.
