CASE STUDY: Sports Stadium Graphic System Upgrade from 1080i to 1080p with VidCom & Chyron
With a major international sporting event on the horizon — expected to draw more than 350,000 spectators over multiple days — a large-capacity sports stadium undertook a complete upgrade of its internal video production infrastructure, which also required a major upgrade to the stadium’s graphics system.
The objective: transition from a 1080i broadcast environment to a fully 1080p HDR-capable system ahead of the event.
Beyond the hardware infrastructure improvements, a critical component of the upgrade involved modernizing the stadium’s in-venue graphics systems — Chyron PRIME Click Effects and Lyric video systems — to ensure seamless integration with the new 1080p workflow.
