The new LeaderPhabrix Sx2 Series brings signal generation, analysis and monitoring together in a handheld instrument. Built for engineers who move between the field, the machine room and the outside broadcast (OB) truck, it puts the tools needed to check video and audio signals within easy reach. The Sx2 Series supports 12G-SDI and 4K UHD workflows while also covering earlier SDI formats, making it useful for both new installations and facilities with a mix of equipment. LeaderPhabrix
A closer look at the LeaderPhabrix Sx2 Series
Video analysis and monitoring. The Sx2 Series supports 12G, 6G, 3G, 1.5G and 270M-SDI generation and analysis across 4K, UHD, HD and SD. Its standard analysis tools include waveform, vectorscope, picture monitoring and signal status views. A quad split display lets users view multiple instruments at once, while saved presets help them return quickly to familiar setups. LeaderPhabrix
Signal generation. A comprehensive generation toolset, including test patterns, comes standard. Engineers can use the same handheld unit to generate a signal, then analyze and monitor the result as they check a workflow. LeaderPhabrix
Audio checks. The Sx2 Series displays 16 audio meters at a time from selectable SDI audio groups, with access to up to 128 embedded audio channels depending on the SDI format. It also meters two AES and two analog input channels. LeaderPhabrix
Controls made for work on the move. A 1920 × 1200 touchscreen, precision rotary control and instantly recalled presets help users move between tests. The rechargeable, user-swappable battery and USB-C charging add flexibility when testing away from a fixed workstation. LeaderPhabrix
HDR measurement when needed. For teams working with HDR, the optional SX2-HDR toolset adds measurement and analysis features for supported HDR and wide colour gamut formats. LeaderPhabrix
